Contemporary curtain designs give the look of a room in a house or office a completely new dimension, in terms of style. Traditional curtains constrict the imagination and creativity in the interior design of any place, because one is bound to choose only traditional and antique decor and furnishings. Contemporary designs of curtains give you the freedom to explore and discover all possibilities of decorating your place in a modern and stylish way. Contemporary curtains are designed by keeping minimalist approach in terms of print, fabric, and style of stitching. Modern day living requires easy to use and washable curtains, because maintenance of the curtains is a big issue in traditional curtains. Curtains are designed keeping in view the general trends of furnishing and decor. The fabric and print of the curtains vary from bold and bright colours to dull and neutral colours.
Eyelet heading curtains have an even number of metal rimmed eyelets regularly spaced across the width of the curtains. The spaces between the edges of the first/last eyelet and the edge of the curtain are generally half of that of subsequent eyelets. There should be a gap or around 4cm between the inner edge at the top of the eyelet and the top edge of the curtain. Eyelets are available in a choice of colours and sizes. The curtain is threaded onto a suitable pole, concertina fashion, with the edges of the curtain facing the wall. This ensures that the lining is not visible when the curtains are hanging. The even eyelet spacing gives equal folds of fabric in front and behind the pole.
